Frugal Fun: Marshmallow Blow Gun
Found this marshmallow shooter idea on Instructables.com and wondered if it might be worth the time. Looks like a good alternative to paintball and airsoft guns for the younger boys. Plus, you can buy lots of marshmallows for next to nothing. ..and send them outside!
I see a lot of shampooings in our boys’ summer…but it beats being spitwadded when they’re bored. As for clean-up — gosh, I’m just hoping dogs like marshmallows…because I know that ants do. 
Looks like I better find Dad’s hacksaw. He’ll love this project. LOL

My friend and colleague just taught a bunch of kids how to make these things at the Maker Faire and as always they were a big hit. In fact, there was almost a riot when he ran out of PVC pipe. Melanie - it would be possible to combine the boys making these funky “Weapons” with them making a video, plan a script and shoot a segment, perhaps maybe a takeoff on Star Wars (Marshmallow Wars) complete with funny costumes they invent and a weird set. That would keep the boys and their friends busy in a collaborative venture for a long time. I can well imagine really funny death scenes with marshmallow encrusted bodies lying about. Aw, to be a kid….G
